Advanced Young Rangers

November 2010
The latest activity of the AONB Advanced Young Rangers Programme was a day of scrub clearance with the National Trust at Cheddar Gorge. The task, led by National Trust Ranger Rob Stephens with AONB Project Officer Andy Mallender , cleared areas of gorse scrub to extend the amount of limestone grassland to increase biodiversity in the area above the gorge. The group cleared a significant area of scrub and were kept warm by a combination of hard work and making a bonfire with the gorse that was cleared.
