Mendip Hills AONB Volunteer task programme July – September 2012

The Mendip Hills AONB Volunteer task programme between now and September includes interesting and varied tasks including fencing, path and drainage work at key visitor sites.

In August as part of Mendip Rocks! , a celebration of the geology of the Mendip Hills, a task training event will continue a section of dry stone walling on farmland on top of the Mendips near Wells. Working with local stone-waller, Tracy Reynolds, existing AONB volunteers have the opportunity to hone their skills and with Tracy on hand, newcomers will be shown the art of walling and be able to put their new skills into practice.
