Young Rangers June 2012

Wednesday 26th September 2012

June’s activity was a visit to Ham Wall National Nature Reserve led by Mary Scott of the RSPB who provided the group with binoculars and spotters guides to help identify the many species of birds of the Somerset Levels including Great White Egrets.  In the afternoon the Young Rangers worked on a practical task to weigh down the butyl liner of a wildlife pond with hessian bags filled with gravel.
