A new series of downloadable circular trail guides has been launched to help people enjoy and explore the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The series of 5 circular walking trails and 1 trail also suitable for cyclists and horse riders are between 3.5 and 5 miles in length. In addition to a full colour route map and directions there is information about the area. Also listed are details of shops, cafes and pubs along the trails.
The trails have been chosen to link villages with sites of interest including Burrington Ham, Cheddar Gorge, theChewValley, Bleadon Hill and Ebbor Gorge. If you’re planning a visit to the Mendip Hills AONB this half-term holiday these guides are a great way to start exploring the geology, history and wildlife of the area.
All 6 routes are available to download direct from our Visiting the Mendip Hills page.
