Quarry Faces

Tuesday 6th November 2012

Saturday 8th December

2.30-4.30pm

The Quarry Faces project is to hold one of its popular “Talking Tea Shop” events at the Wells and Mendip Museum on 8th December between 2.30pm and 4.30pm. The event is being held in conjunction with the project’s exhibition at the museum, and will begin with a talk on the history of quarrying in the Mendips by project co-ordinator, Robin Thornes.  This will be followed by tea and cakes, during which the project team will be available to talk to anyone who has information to offer the project, or who would like to get involved. Those attending are encouraged to bring along and show the Quarry Faces team any photographs or other memorabilia concerned with local quarries or quarry workers
