Ranger News April 2013

Just out a couple of times this month. One day I picked up more litter on Black Down itself than I did from car parks up the Coombe.

Lovely walking in the milder weather, white violets, daffodils, celandine, pussy willow, hazel shooting, blue bells beginning to show.

The paths have doubled and trebled in some places, as the walking had been so bad, they need just one path and time to regenerate, the trig point is looking quite green.

Towards the end of the month trees were further out, lots of dog mess, very noticeable. Paths lovely to walk, I walked a long loop on Burrington Ham, through the hill fort, best this time of year as it gets very overgrown later.

Acid green of the trees this time of year, gets me every time!!
