The new Autumn programme of Mendip Hills AONB practical volunteer tasks is now available.

The Mendip Hills AONB practical tasks taking place on Wednesdays between September 10th and November 19th 2014 include scrub clearance at Old Quarry Nunney, dry stone walling with the National Trust on Wavering Down and fencing and coppicing on Black Down.

 

The Mendip Hills AONB volunteers, led by Volunteer Coordinator Nichola Penn, assists community groups and other organisations to care for sites in the Mendip Hills. To join the group of dedicated volunteers, that is always open to new recruits, you just need enthusiasm for the activity and suitable outdoor clothing. All instruction and tools are provided.
