Young Rangers OCT2015

Caving and John Muir
Continuing our team building and ‘get to know you’ theme from September, in October we went caving in Goatchurch. We split into 2 groups, the more adventurous ones climbing down into the cave and the rest of us taking the more sedate, Victorian entrance. The 2 groups worked really well, helping each other over, under and through some quite narrow gaps, and offering words of encouragement when it felt like we might get stuck!

Thanks to the Charterhouse Centre and the two Andys for the great experience.

In the afternoon the group learnt about John Muir, founder of our modern conservation movement. All participants should come away with a John Muir Award at the end of the 2 year scheme.
