Having been designated over 35 years ago there is much going on to conserve and enhance the Mendip Hills AONB. The Mendip Hills Management Plan 2009-14 and its accompanying yearly Delivery Plan set out the priorities and ways in which these can be tackled.
The Management Plan has 9 key themes. The information currently shown below relates to the previous management plan themes (2004-09) but is in the process of being updated and the new themes will be uploaded soon.
The Mendip Hills AONB Partnership (Terms of Understanding) is tackling many issues and undertaking project work through the Management Plan.
