Mendip Rocks Art Exhibition: “Marking Time”

This week long art exhibition includes Mendip and Somerset geology inspired artworks to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the opening of the Somerset Earth Science Centre. 10% of the proceeds will go to Mendip Rocks!

Artworks from:

Melanie Deegan & Watchet Art group (7 artists), Jennie Thomas, David Parfitt, Christina White and other local artists.

Please note that this exhibition runs from 15-21st August (excluding Sunday 18th) 10:00am – 4:00pm.

Refreshments will be available to buy on the day.

As part of the Exhibition we will be running 2 fossil forms wire sculpture or plaster casting workshops on 21 August at 10:30am and 2:00pm. Places are limited so booking is advisable. 

All tools and material provided. Make a wire fossil sculpture or simple dinosaur shape, or use the Earth Science Centre’s fossils for inspiration. Suitable for adults and children over 8 with parental supervision.

Cost: £5.00 (approx 1 hour)

Whilst the main art exhibition is not ticket entry, if you are planning on attending we would be grateful if you could book to give us an idea of numbers.
