The Mendip Hills - Eight Wild Walks
The walks, devised by local landscape ecologist Adrian Boots, range from 2½ miles (4km) to 7½ miles (12km) take you through a wide variety of landscape types in the Mendip Hills AONB including steep scarp slopes with impressive views across the Levels, windswept plateau criss-crossed with dry stone walls, valley village to lakeside and all with the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife that will change according to the seasons. The guide also includes fascinating facts on plants and wildlife and where to look out for them.
